High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Went in at 11:45 for lunch w family. Waiter was a little rude. I got 1/2 rack of ribs, and they were the worst I think I have ever had! Very dry and overcooked and way to much Asian bbq sauce all over them. My son got the make and cheese w chicken tenders, and they were over cooked and dry, and he said mac n cheese had a funny flavor. My side of cole slaw had a funny flavor also. We have been here before and always underwhelmed. We won't be back.

It's Applebee's so I am grading them strictly as a typical chain restaurant. As such, this location is a 4 star chain restaurant. My hubby and I went in on a Friday evening & were greeted enthusiastically and promptly seated. They were busy, but our server Bianca was great-very friendly and efficient. We had the potstickers as an appetizer and it was painfully obvious they were previously frozen. However, this should be expected at a chain restaurant and the dipping sauces it came with were very tasty. My husband ordered some Asian burger with sweet potato fries, which he enjoyed very much. I had the bruschetta steak meal from their lower calorie options; it came with plain boiled red potatoes & a small portobello mushroom cap stuffed with artichoke. The potatoes were bland, but the mushroom cap was good-cute & tasty! I ordered my steak medium & it was cooked perfectly. Prices were very reasonable. I'll sure I'll be back.

This place is disgusting. When my friend and I came in it was beginning to be crowded with after work personnel. That seems very nice. I ordered the clubhouse grille with fries and my friend had a half slab of ribs with fries as well. My drink was sweet tea of which was terrible and when I asked for a coke instead the waitress brings the coke but ask was the sweet tea not good, of course not! It was nasty I said. Then she follows with everyone says that. What!!!! If everyone says that then why are you all still pouring horrible so-called sweet tea??? On another page, our comes out, the first thing I try is my fry. Yuck, yuck, yuck!!! Cold and old! Why are they serving cold and old fries with a crowd of people or even serving cold and old fries at all? This Applebee's must really want to go out of business. Then again with the outfits that the waitresses are wearing now they are trying their best to stay open. Basically they barely had anything on. It was weird. No wonder there were no children there. Just awkward. Back to the fries, we received fresh hot fries. I was surprised the fryer worked. Wonder why they did not do that the first time. About the sandwich, would I order it again, no I would not. It was not any good at all. I'm just glad I did not pay for my meal. Applebee's just needs a whole new menu makeover. My friends ribs looked dry to me, as well as their cole slaw that they did not touch, lol. I just know not to ever come to this place ever again. I noticed when they sat other patrons down at their tables they didn't sweep up the mess from before and it was just disgusting. This is just not a clean and good place to enjoy a delicious meal. It's pathetic that they have to have karaoke here just to try and attract people. Still this place is awful without all the noise. All I can say is, no thank you. Please, please, please, no office parties here!!

This review pertains to this location only! Not once but twice we have had problems with this location in our food, our seating and service. I ordered chicken and asked specifically if it was spicy they said it wasn't. I cannot eat spicy food due to IBS. I bit into the chicken and my mouth was on fire. I had to flag the waitress down to complain. She said she would take it back no apologies. Second time they seated us to a big party seating and there was no room between us and them. I asked to be reseated as we could not hear to each other talking. They did and then forgot us. The manager came by and asked us how things were going. WE told him. He went and got us a waitress, but never came back to see how we were. I do not like this location it's staff or it's food. But please understand, it's not towards any other Applebee's.

There's a couple negative things I could think of. Waiting 45 minutes in the cold for a table, having to ask for refills, slow service, waitress didn't seem happy to be serving my family and I, and my dad had several complaints about the quality of the food. The servers seemed overwhelmed.

Since when is one Yuengling draft $5.49? Applebees should stop advertising 2 for 1 if they're just going to jack up the price to where you're actually paying more than what you'd pay anywhere in the area.

Lunch was good....dessert was good. Staff was goodish. Manager is a dick to his waitresses. Passive aggressive remarks. "Nice of you to show-up today" "whats wrong with her, she is so weird" " i was talking to her, not you". Damn... i come in for a nice quiet sunday lunch... i am sitting in the bar area and this goung on 15 feet away. He has also gone over to every table but mine... maybe because i am younger than 50??

Don't order the Cedar grilled lemon chicken it is new and soon to be discontinued. To begin with it was a very small piece of chicken. They had a lot of stuff to her like apple relish tattooed lemon olive oil vinaigrette over a blend of cranberries rice honey glaze pecans and quinoa. It was just like a child's portion. Don't you think they would at least offer fries or breadsticks with it. I don't usually post stuff like this but I was very disappointed in it.

If I could give them no stars I would. The service is slow, inattentive, uncaring and unfriendly. The assistant manager Patrick, however, is even worse. Orders are never correct and can take 30 mins to even be placed. Once your food does come out incorrect nobody will stop by to acknowledge you for at least 20 mins after. I feel as if I'm inconveniencing my server every time I speak to them, when I have the chance that is. Also, my last visit it took over 20 mins just to receive my drink. Im a server myself and I can't imagine maintaining a job if I conducted myself like this. Management made no effort to right the issue. Music blaring so loud you can't think. Food is usually barely warm. Always tell myself I am never going back and only do because it is all that is open late near by. After my last experience though, never again..they don't deserve to be in business.

The ONLY place around that I can get my French Onion Soup done right! The American BLT is good too. I have been visiting this place since it opened, most of my younger years were playing Trivial Pursuit and getting bar tabs with my friends. One of the very few places that I still go with my family.

2Nd time here first time was great! So we came back. FINALLY got my much awaited gift card from a survey I did months ago so Hubby, Son and I went out to dinner. My foot is bound because of an issue so walking isn't frequent or that easy at times. We didnt have to wait to be seated, however, we had to walk up stairs to a table on the OTHER side of the restaurant when clearly others were closer, empty and available. As our waitress greeted us friendly with a great smile I looked around the restaurant to check the name on the Menu to see if it said Hooter's or Winghouse, because every single one of the waitstaff had on tight jeans and tank tops. Yeah thats fine if your at the bar, with friends and stuff but NOT with a 10 year old and other families with much younger children there. If i wanted to see cleavage I have my own. Appetizer was good, fresh and came fast. Our order wasnt far behind. Hubby had 4 cheese mac with bacon and honey chicken tenders. His dinner was well portioned and full of flavor. Our son had a cheeseburger and french fries that we asked them not to put onions in....they did but he said it was ok. Was well seasoned, quite large and arrived fresh. Then came my meal. The Burbon Blacken Chicken and Shrimp with red potatoes, onions and mushrooms. It came on one of those sizzle skillets. I looked down to see these pink shrimp, dark skinned potatoes, still white mushrooms and onion and a hidden chicken. Took a bite of the shrimp, no flavor, i wasn't about to eat those onions and mushrooms. Had to saw into the chicken, was hot as all heck with NO flavor! I was like really. Didn't want to ruin the evening so I waited while everyone else finished. Manager came by, asked if everything was ok, went to tell him and he was just hustling by on his merry way. So i took home the cardboard, found some of the chicken, added lemon, pepper and sprinkle of Adobo with water. Low and behold I don't get paid to cook in a restaurant, im just a short chubby little housewife. BUT! I was able to ressurect this food and bring it back to life! Bucks waisted on my meal but my guys were happy. I'll try another location.

We were there on Friday Jan 9,2015. First our server Haley S. Was fantastic!!! Even tho we had to wait over an hour to be seated because we were a party of 6 with a baby and did not want to seat at a high top. The hostess was very accommodating. The food was great!! My husband and I did the 2/25 the steak was yummy. The baked potato was cold and hard.... Haley exchanged it immediately and brought me out mashed potatoes that were great. My kids loved having such a large choice of kids meals.... The hungry option and the hungrier option was perfect for my twins. They even got ice cream with it!!! Most placed just give you the meals these days!!! Awesome.

I've visited this location a few times over the past 3 years since we moved to the area because it is just around he corner from my house so that's very convenient, but the service we experience is not as convenient. We usually get seated right away. Which is great but once we are seated we sit and wait.... And wait..... And wait... Until about 15 minutes pass than finally our waitress comes . No apology for our wait and finally gets our drink order. Then we usually wait another 10 minutes to get our drinks which is usually water with lemon and a beer for the husband. Nothing fancy. Then though we are clearly done looking at the menu after being there for 30 minutes we made up our minds 25 minutes ago and put our menus down to signal we are ready we are told "I will be right back for your order" finally we are able to order and another 10 or so minute pass until our appetizer comes out. . About 15 minutes after that our meals are finally out and once they hit the table is when the manager comes around to make his rounds because he has to or our meals are free but ATLEAST for him the service is super slow so he has about a 2 hour time frame to visit you. And all he says is "how is everything tonight" but usually since you are starved by the time your food finally gets to your your mouth is full of food and struggle to answer him and then he walks away. And usually escapes back to the back of the restuarant. No smile. No other conversation . Nothing. Where is the hospitality???? When I go to dinner I like to feel like part of a family and I feel like I'm the inconvenience instead at this location . Maybe if the manager spent more time on the floor and being more attentive to customers the service would not suck so much . Because then Maybe the waitresses would not all be hanging out at the hostess stand talking and hanging out instead of taking orders .

The food was just ok. The portions have decreased and the prices increased. Our waitress was rude and uninterested. The air was out and it was 90 degrees. I used to love this place.

NEVER AGAIN! That is what I said the last time I went to this restaurant 3 or 4 years ago. I should have remembered that since I am saying it again. I drove by this location a few times in the recent months and have seen that they made some changes to the outside of the place. I said why not give it another shot since we have seen a lot of commercials claiming that the menu had changed and this were better (lies). Upon arriving at this location there was a crowd of 20 plus people waiting outside. So as most men do, I dropped my wife off to ask how long. The hostess stated that the wait would only be 20-25 minutes. Ok sounds fine to me. I parked the car and found my wife standing inside the first set of doors. While waiting there we had the pleasure of hearing the girl tell ever group the same time even though no one was even leaving the restaurant. Amazing. After about 40 or so minutes we were seated at the smallest both I have ever set eyes on that was tucked away in the corner like we were punished children who were not allowed at the adults table. Both my wife and I had to fight for the little leg room that was available. This booth made no sense since there was more than enough room for a full size one. Our less than attentive and no smile to be seen waitress greeted us and almost demanded our drink order. After we received our waters we ordered mozzarella sticks. These were actually good for the most part. The marinara was eh to say the most, but the breading was good. We both ordered something simple, chicken fingers. How can you go wrong with those! After a good 30 minute wait we received out meals. And guess what, same old crap they served 4 years ago. And it tastes like the grease was the same stuff used 4 years ago. The fries were horrendous and way over salted. You know there is to much salt if after eating just a few fries your tongue feels like there are cuts all over and begins to burn. The honey mustard sauce maybe the worst sauce I have ever had in my life. Overall I can not rate the food, service, or atmosphere anything higher than a 1. It only hot that good of a rating since the mozzarella sticks were its only saving grace. On a side note, as we were leaving the only way out was past the manager and a waitress. They were standing there talking, one on each side of the isle. Neither one felt the should move and we had to walk right between them. There was not that much room to begin with and I as I said to my wife once we got outside, I came about 6 inches from kissing that girl. Move and let your customers have the right of way. Please do not be fooled by the exterior only makeover and commercials promising change. There is no change here.

The food here was awful. 1 star for service. The steak tasted like rubber soaked in lime juice. Expensive for what you got. I've tried this place 4 times and I will never go back. In fact, I will never eat at "any" Applebee's ever. a lot of the entrees have so much mixed up sauces on them you can't see (or taste) what the meat is under them. Do yourself a favor and bypass this place or any Applebee's.

I come here once in a while when I'm in the area. I usually get in without a long wait. On this particular visit, my mother-in-law read the menu incorrectly thinking something was still on it. Turns out it had a similar type wrap but not even close to what she was after. She realized after she took the first bite and talked to the waitress. They not only took the wrap off the bill, but gave her a pecan chicken salad free instead. She decided that was better. Great service.
